Moodboard
Translating what the director wants to put into images is my job. The moodboard is a very important tool to help the director, and me, to give the right style to the film. To design a set is to create an atmosphere, I experience this both when I make a film and when I design a house
Location
One of the most important things in filmmaking is the choice of location. In the case of interiors (whether for a film or an architectural project), once the right location has been identified, it is very important to continue with a survey in order to design the style of the scene and adapt the spaces according to the camera movement
2D Drawings, Renderings
When I design a set, I use tools such as 2D or even 3D drawing. And in some cases, it is necessary to simulate camera movement to see if the set design serves the environment you want to create or if it needs to be modified (the same happens in interior designs)

Mindset
Creativity has been part of me since I was born. For me, architecture and set design speak the same language, let's say in different ways and at different times. But whether I am doing an interior design or setting up a set, the approach is the same. When I start reading a script (or listen to what a person wants to do with his environment) many things happen. I start trying to understand the characters, their character, imagine their home, if they have one, their tastes, the colours that represent them, the places they frequent. Doing set design (or an interior design) is not just setting up a set, it is something much deeper, especially when you want to communicate a message. Doing set design is not just putting one chair in place of another, it is knowing how to translate emotions through shapes, colours, lights. And it's the same thing when I design the environment where we live, work and have fun, don't you think?
